Two things I want to make sure to journal..... i love that I have this blog to look back on......

Sydney accepted Christ last week. What an incredible feeling as a mom. I still cry thinking about it. I know she made a decision from the heart. It's Scott's and my job now to teach her more and more so that she grows as a believer. The day after her decision she went to school and told everyone. Even our incredible security guard. As she was telling everyone that she is now a Christian I began to feel really guilty. Shouldn't I go around proclaiming His love for me to everyone I see???

Tonight I was putting Tyler down for bed. I told him that I loved him. He then asks,

"Mom, do you love me when I'm whinny?"
"Yes, I love you when your whinny and even when your mean!"
"Will you always love me?" "There's nothing you could ever do to make me stop loving you. I will forever love you."
"Thanks mom that's nice."

Doesn't God say the same.......... It's hard to like him when he's so whinny........ Wonder if it's hard for God to like me at times!!! My kids really help me see God in many different ways. They are great teachers.

Yesterday Tyler asked me to buy him some organic glue.

I think he meant Super Glue!!!!

Later that night he told me he loved me more that Star Wars, light sabers, bad guys and space ships!! I'm so glad he loves me. :)

T: Um Um a star war guys that's really strong with a light saber that can punch a bad guy in the head.
S: I want some bars that are gymnastic with baby powder so I won't fall.

BIG weekend

Tyler got a new bike yesterday! Poor boy had to wait too long!!

He picked out Transformers. Notice his dorky transformer shoes? He had to have them and I gave in. Next time, we're going preppy!

Life is so fun....... all the things I dreamed about one day seeing and doing are now happening. I loved watching Sydney conquer the bike with no training wheels!

Scott talked to her before they started. He told her, "Sydney you won't be able to do this the first time. It takes practice!"

Sydney's the type that wants you to show her one time and then she wants to master it in one attempt.

But in less than 30 minutes she was up and riding her bike by herself!!


Then there's this little ornery stinker. This is the face I get when she's done something she shouldn't and she thinks it's funny.

I asked her to smile here, so she picks her nose!!!!

*** On a side note...... Scott has a kidney stone and has had it for a week. He had surgery last week and it was unsuccessful So we hope to have surgery this week again. He is the MAN! Running down the street with a stint in and a kidney stone. He's VERY medicated at the moment. I told him running might make it fall out! He can't say no to the kids!!

What a difference a year makes!

Vacation

We went to Great Wolf Lodge last weekend! We went in January and decided that this was the best place ever! It's a very easy vacation to do with kids. Sydney is tall enough to do all the BIG slides. She has no fear..... Scott rode the scary ones and I rode the normal ones with her.

Kinder.....

Kinder started today. It came so fast. Sydney was so excited this morning. She sang Oklahoma, The Sun Will Come Out and So long Fair Well on the way to school. I really thought I would do fine this morning. All the parents, teachers and students meet in the auditorium. We sang praise songs all together. That's when I started crying. I am so thankful for the school the kids will go to. Christ is the center! I love seeing the teachers truly praising God. It's a comfort and it's incredible. I pray this is where God wants us until they are off to college!!

The family walked Sydney to her class. I held back all emotions and hugged her and told her to enjoy the day. She smiled and kissed me goodbye. Then I turned around and the tears came in like a flood. it's 11:30 and I'm still crying. 6 years and BOOM she's at school 5 days a week. I'll get through it but I'll never like it.

I love you Sydney! You are beautiful inside and out.

Zoo pass

Tonight I was sitting in my car by myself getting it washed. I looked over and on my front window and saw my "zoo pass" sticker. I smiled and thanked God for giving me three kids! I'm a mom who GETS to have a zoo pass...... my kids have given that to me!!!

Sydney's first day of Kindergarten is in three days. Emotions flood through me.

Excitement - she's going to love it

Fear - of the unknown

Anxious - for her

Grateful - blessed with her school

Worry- I'm not with her

Proud - she's amazing

I could keep going. New chapters in life are great but hard. I love the life I have been given. Sometimes I want to bottle up this time and keep it forever. But I can't. But I can teach my kids all about Christ's love.

Lord - protect my baby and help me teach her your ways.
