Beautiful things

Two beautiful things happened yesterday.
#1 Christmas stuff was put away and I cleaned the whole house!!!!!! Ahhh what a feeling. I usually can't get the whole house cleaned in one day BUT Scott was home to keep the kids out from under my feet.

#2 My sweet boy sang the best praise song on the way home from church yesterday. To hear a 2 year old worshiping is such a great sound. I video taped him later that day singing again. Once I figure out how to download it - I'll post it. That's my goal this evening. (and post Christmas pics.)

All went well!

Thanks for your prayers! The surgery went well and I'm home resting in bed. I'm hoping the pain is less tomorrow. Thanks so much for calling and praying for me.

Prayer

My dear friend Lindsay is pregnant with her third son! Click on her name on the left of my blog and read her prayer request for baby Luke due in January. God has already healed Luke of one condition and I know He will do it again.

Surgery

Please say a little prayer for me Tuesday! I am having surgery to remove my gallbladder. I'm nervous about being under but it's not the first time. I'll survive. I'm running around trying to finish up last minute things before Christmas and all the traveling we are going to do. AHHHHH - off to wrap gifts.

Electricity

I never knew how much I loved electricity until it was gone. Monday morning the power went out at 6 a.m. We didn't get it back until Tuesday afternoon. We were lucky to get it back so fast. So many people are without right now. Monday morning I called 12 hotels and all were booked. We started calling around fgenerators and all were sold out. AHHHHHHHH My sweet husband traveled over an hour to buy a generator. The last generator in that town. We got it up and running late Monday evening. I was so happy to have heat!!

Tyler and Sydney learned what electricity meant. I had to explain every five minutes why the tv, toaster, lights, oven etc. were not working. Cranky kids with no cartoons in the morning was not fun for anyone. When the lights finally came on mommy was the happiest of all!!!! I missed my dishwasher and computer the most :).
